Story

My supposed "delusion" started early 2002 in which I percieved myself to be a celebrity whom the public were disallowed to disclose (delusions of grandeur.) I deduced this through overhearing people on the streets and even from the media, making references to issues regarding my private life. I began medical treatment for several months--after which my delusions dissappeared.

When I began work a couple of months ago, the delusions returned, except it was more evident and included people around me and the media indirectly wishing that I make up with ex-friends and dates of mine through subtle remarks (delusions of persecution.) I was forced into treatment again and this time it meant staying in a mental asylum at a hospital--I did not enjoy my stay there for one moment. I was released a few days ago and I discontinued my delusions--until today.

I have always been a strong willed and mentally stable person so it is difficult to believe that everything I have experienced was a delusion. At most, I think I have over-exaggerated or over-reacted on some occasions. I dare not reveal my thoughts to anyone for fear of continuing my medication for an indefinite length of time or even being returned to the hospital. I have a conception that my dentity will finally be revealed to me and the public, but hen I am not certain.

I am now in a dilema of not knowing whether my experiences were real or merely a delusion. I even think that this mail I am writing to you will be read by someone other than us.
