Jessica, Wow! Retract your claws. It isn't that I totally disagree but, I do not agree, either. First, I am quadriplegic and have never accepted my disability. Instead, I cope with my paralysis on a daily basis. During that time, 16 years, I have changed and have learned some goodness because of my disability.
That dosen't mean that I love my disability -- that would be torpid -- but, while I am disabled, I will learn all I can. I believe in God, science and technology which offer me hope. I do agree with you that, if offered a cure, I would be first in line.
What I love is the freedom of my mind and the ability to learn while I cope. Hugs to
you, Jessica.
Eddie
