My name is Richard. I was born with -- and finally diagnosed during July 98' -- with Late Onset Tay-Sachs disease.

I now live in Atlanta, GA, but was born in Brooklyn, NY.

I was misdiagnosed 3 times in the past. There are only a 100 people in the world with my disease. I work as a data entry processor, lift weights 4 days a week, and belong to a wheelchair quad rugby team. I live alone in an apartment and can no longer drive, so I am forced to use public transportation.

I do not have a gilfriend because once an able-bodied woman hears I am disabled she freaks. Her loss; she's missing out. I love kids and always explain to them in easy terms that they can understand about why I am how I am. That doesn't bother me because at least they care -- not like most ignorant people in this world.
