Story
Hamster Girl, I hope you find your place, but I don't know if being a nun is the solution. You still have to deal with people; they're just all Catholic women. And coming from a family packed to the gills with them, Catholic women are just as capable of being condescending and dismissive.
Also, you probably have to worry more about people wanting to have God heal you in some fashion. My grandparents are both Catholics and have told me repeatedly that they pray for my healing and have sent me water from Lourdes. When I went on a recent exchange trip to France, they wanted me to go to Warsaw where there's supposed to be some healing lady. This is all very fun for me, being pestered and pitied and prayed for with no regard for what I want or believe.
I'm not saying don't do it, Hamster Girl. I'm just saying don't think it gets you away from dealing with people.
