I am replying to Clarence Hill's letter about the U. S. Postal Service firing employees when they do not disclose a disability. I, too, was fired from the post office for not putting down a disability on the medical history portion of their application for employment.

I knew I could do the job and I do not want to disclose my disability to anyone I choose not to. I am looking for help from anyone to get this "practice" of the U.S. Postal Service stopped and to help the many of us who have lost our jobs to get them back. Our lives have been devastated by this unfair practice. It takes away our right to privacy, an innate human right to privacy.

Most of us have "abnormalities" -- "disabilities" that are not the employer’s business as long as we can do the job.

I myself received two "special achievement" awards and various other awards for my performance at the post office. Would appreciate hearing from anyone who can help. I've looked everywhere for an agency, organization, government official who can help.
