My father, 42, found out he had this rare genetic disorder about ten years ago. The nature of his work, a printer in a factory, requires he use his hands and stand on his feet almost 12 hours straight. In this ten year time period, he has become the focal of a study done by Ohio University. The doctors here told him that he MUST go on disability within the year. He was physically unable to go on. We couldn't afford a personal trainer, and he couldn't afford to get a new job.

Ten years later, he works out often to gain as much motor use as possible, and he is still in the same job, refusing to draw disability. He is the most noble and loving man I have ever met, and not a day goes by that I don't thank God for his dedication.
