Fighting to remove barriers

Story

I was asked to join the Board of Directors of my synagogue, and I accepted because I was hoping to push for the removal of some of the barriers.

I brought up the issues at all the board meetings, including giving them a detailed list of all the barriers that need to be removed. Nothing got done at all, and, when the first year of my membership was over, I was not allowed to run again!

I am not giving up and will continue to be as much of a pest as possible -- to get rid of the barriers.

When I mentioned to a former President of the congregation that I wanted the barriers removed, he said, "Why should we bother; there's not that many of you!" I intend to show them that we are mighty, even if we are few!
