Defeated self-doubt despite my disability

Story

I am hearing impaired. I was working for the Food Drug Administration and my supervisor asked if I had a hearing problem. I was checked by my audioloigist the following day, for two hearing aids.

I lost my job when it was time for my evaluation. I became afraid to apply for jobs, fearing they wouldn't hire me AFTER they knew the truth. I did obtain several jobs, in spite of my "ear" problem.

I have always wanted to be a published writer. I fought the fear of rejection and this dream came true. I have three poems published in anthologys. I am currently a Guest Writer on the net. I am conquering my self-doubt, despite of my disability!
