My theory seems to have been confirmed by some even more bizarre things lately.

When I go to use the bathroom at work, I have to park my chair outside in the hall because the bathroom isn't accessible, and I can't even get the chair inside. Thank God I can walk a little! People usually offer to help, and hold the door for me, when they see me approaching.

One woman wanted to help, and held the door, until I set my brakes and started to get up with my cane. As soon as she saw that I could move my legs, she said, "Oh! Never mind!" and she shut the door and left!
